A New Chapter Begins
Every great story begins with a spark—an ordinary moment that lights up an extraordinary idea. For me, that moment came on a rainy afternoon, staring out the window as raindrops traced unpredictable paths down the glass. That image stayed with me, inspiring the idea for my latest novel, "Paths Unseen."
Bringing this story to life has been one of the most rewarding journeys of my career. Countless hours of writing, revising, and dreaming have gone into crafting every word—and thanks to the incredible support around me, this release is truly the most visually and emotionally powerful version yet.
Inspiration in Everyday Moments
“Where do you find inspiration?” is a question I hear often. The answer? Everywhere. A snippet of conversation, a line from a song, a fleeting dream—each can spark a story. With "Paths Unseen," I drew from real encounters, piecing together characters from people I’ve met and memories that shaped me.
The story unfolds in Harborview, a charming coastal town born from places I’ve visited and places I’ve only imagined. And now, with rich, vibrant illustrations, that world has come alive like never before.
World-Building with Heart
World-building isn’t just about locations—it’s about soul. Harborview has its own traditions, festivals, food, and even local slang. All these little details breathe life into the story, shaping how the characters connect with each other and their surroundings.
The new edition features Pixar-style illustrations that bring added warmth and texture to the world. From cozy cafés to windswept shores, every scene is painted with emotion, making the town feel wonderfully real.
Writing with Discipline and Joy
Writing is both art and habit. I stick to an early morning writing routine—from 5 AM to 8 AM—when the world is quiet and imagination flows. Some days, words tumble out effortlessly. Others, they trickle slowly. But every moment spent writing brings me closer to the heart of the story.
This process has taught me to value both the challenges and the breakthroughs. They’re all part of the creative journey.
